On Saturday 28th October, all three of Falkirk District's Squirrel Dreys (the youngest section of Scouting, aged 4 and 5) came together for a special Disney Drey Day. Squirrels took part in a range of activities, all based on Disney films. We tried archery and tomahawks, made ratatouille, tied knots, painted stones, learned some sign language and even made our own musical shakers. To finish the day, we came together to share our favourite campfire songs before the Squirrels went home with a special Scout Disney badge. The Drey Day was enjoyed by all and we hope to repeat the event in the future.

It has been a busy time for the younger members of the 51st Dennyloanhead Scouts Group. During our last week we were so proud to present the Chief Scout’s Bronze Award to 3 of our Beavers who have worked extremely hard to achieve this. This is the highest award a Beaver Scout can earn.

At the beginning of March, the group was excited to open our newest Section, The Squirrels! The Squirrels have had a brilliant start and worked hard to earn their first activity badge. We were pleased to invest them into the group this week when they hopped over the stepping stones to join our drey on Squirrel Island. Many more adventures to come for us!
