Husband and wife team Hamish and Fiona Scott were recently rewarded for their service to the Scout Movement. Fiona was awarded the Silver Acorn in “recognition of specially distinguished service”. Hamish received the highest adult award, the Silver Wolf, in “recognition of services to Scouting of the most exceptional nature.” The Chief commissioner for Scotland Barry Donald-Hewitt (centre) made the presentations.
Between them they have almost 80 years of service to the Scout Movement, whilst Fiona has a further 15 years’ service to the Girl Guide movement. Groups locally rely solely on volunteers.
