The peace of the Carron Reservoir was shattered recently as the 51st Dennyloanhead Beaver Scouts, accompanied by some brave parents enjoyed a welly-walk to earn their ‘Hike and Explore’ badges and to work off some early Christmas excitement. We really had fun enjoying the views, exploring nature and making dens in the woods, before returning to the picnic area for hot chocolate made on the Trangia gas stoves. The Beavers are looking forward to many more outdoor adventures in 2024 as we work towards our Scouts “Outdoor in 24” challenge award. The beavers meet at the Archie Russell Community Centre on a Monday evening.
