A colony of beavers from the 27th Bonnybridge spent their meeting looking at the stars.
The youngsters went to the Stirling Highland Hotel Observatory and were able to look through the 130-year-old reflecting telescope.
The beavers were split into two groups and each learned about the planets before walking up the 90 steps to the observatory.
As well as looking at the stars and planets, the young people were also able to see the Wallace Monument, although it was upside down.
The Stirling Highland Hotel was the former High School. Members of the Stirling Astronomical Society hold evening classes that run each year from October to March.
